WATEGOS BEACH, BYRON BAY ELOPEMENT

Just south of the Pass is the stunning Wategos beach, in perfect view of the Byron Bay lighthouse. Its name comes from a local indigenous family. The small quiet beach is home to dolphins, whales and turtles. It had been Colette and Jacobs dream to move to Byron Bay so getting married there was the perfect way to start that next chapter of their lives.

Colette and Jacob had originally planned a large wedding of over a hundred and fifty people. The more they looked into it though their idea for a perfect day shifted towards something smaller and intimate. The decided to have a surprise elopement and flew their mothers in from interstate and England.

Colette and Jacobs wedding will be one that I’ll remember for a long time. I loved everything about it. The location, the people and the styling. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of it and now that they’ve completed their move to Byron Bay with their two dogs we’ve become great friends!
